Unfortunately high water levels are an ever-growing concern. Water that has penetrated into garages, basements or living areas often causes extensive damage. This can be avoided if we start pumping the water out in time.
As a rule this water is heavily contaminated, so a submersible dirty water pump is best for this purpose. This type of pump is supplied by T.I.P. with a VORTEX impeller system as standard. This tried-and-trusted technology swirls coarse particles around and breaks them down, allowing them to pass through the hydraulic system unimpeded.
Emptying swimming pools
You’d like to empty your swimming pool and you’re looking for the right pump? Emptying the pool down to the lowest possible water level is a job for a pump with very low suction depth.
For this purpose therefore we recommend the DrainPress 3200/24 and the INTEGRA 8000 submersible drainage pump. These flat suction models can suck out water down to the very low, mop-dry level of 1 mm (2 mm for the Integra 8000). What’s more, with its vertical pump outlet and built-in float switch, the INTEGRA 8000 submersible drainage pump is ideally suited to use in narrow shafts.
Emptying construction trenches
Generally speaking, submersible dirty water pumps are the recommended appliances for emptying construction trenches. This is an application that places especially high demands on pumps.
The Maxima 400 SX is a specially developed construction pump with, for example, a hydraulic housing and an impeller made of rugged cast iron. Robustly constructed and very tough, these pumps are suitable for use in the most extreme conditions. What’s more, these top-of-the-range submersible dirty water pumps are distinguished by their outstanding performance, with high flow rates and high maximum particle sizes. The Extrema range is ideal for heavy-duty uses, coping with their challenges without a problem.
Emptying ponds
When choosing a suitable pump for emptying ponds, the key consideration is how much dirt is in the water. If the water contains very little dirt, even a submersible clear water pump can be used to empty the pond.
The key consideration is the maximum particle size given in the technical information for each pump. This value tells you the maximum tolerable diameter of particles in the liquid. The safer option however is submersible dirty water pumps. For example, the TVX 7000, an ideal starter model with a maximum particle size of 20 mm, can empty small ponds quickly and reliably.
