Vegetable garden
Summer’s over,…
… but the gardener’s work isn’t.
A busy period is starting. There is picking, processing and preserving to be done. The main harvest is stone fruits. It is important to pick these in dry weather. Before putting fruit into storage, let it cool overnight in a dry place.
The potatoes also are ripe and can be processed. Storage conditions are important, as, just like fruits, potatoes must be stored in dry spaces. To prevent them from sprouting, they need to be kept at a temperature of about eight degrees.
Have fun working in your garden!
Best wishes from Waibstadt
