Drinking water: a precious commodity

Using rainwater

The sustainable alternative to drinking water

So that the summer does not turn into a drought for your plants, they need to be watered regularly. We’ve already given some valuable tips on proper watering in our last post.
So now we’d like to mention a very important and precious commodity: drinking water.
Summer is when many garden owners dramatically increase the amount of drinking water they consume, even though it is easy to avoid doing so. In fact there are plenty of intelligent solutions for collecting rainwater free of charge and using it for watering.
This way watering plants with rainwater doesn’t just save you money, it also helps conserve precious resources.
Did you know that rainwater is ideal for garden watering, being calcium carbonate-free and high-quality?
Please ensure that:

  1. rainwater does not stand for too long.
  2. the water container is closed after every use, so that dirt particles do not collect inside and insects cannot lay their eggs in it.
  3. What the water barrel is made of is important. We recommend plastic or wood, as these materials cannot rust.

As long as you pay attention to the above, there’s nothing to stop you from watering your plants with rainwater.
We’re experts at choosing the right garden pump, and we’ll be happy to help you find the right watering pump!
Whether you draw your water from a rain barrel, a cistern or a well – we have the right solution for you!

Have fun in your garden!
